Default Cheap ways to make my 99 Ram 1500 more badass?

Recently purchased a 99 1500 4x4. Shes in great shape for the most part.

Had her checked out, Plenum was shot, had it and other intake gaskets replaced, had Catalytic converter replaced, replaced plugs and wires. Its running great now.

I had big plans for it....Was hoping to do some sweet exhaust and maybe some bigger tires and a lift kit, but after the above maintenance, im kinda broke...

Any cheap ways I can make this truck more badass?

Dodge 4 life!

would say gut the cat but you just got a new one. you can pick up some good cheap alloy rims online. anywhere from 100 ea to whatever you want custom wise.
new head units are under 100 for everything but video. and 12 bucks for the install kit not bad.
lund makes stick-on hood scoops for looks only around 40. bumper covers, rollpans from 50.
tint the windows, but a universal muffler (flowmaster super 40 etc.) they usually arent too much and just start hacking away at the exaust. a guy i know has a 98 318 longbed and he cut the exaust off after the cab and slapped a super 40 and some turndowns on it, loud as$ $h!t. Ive got a full catback dual outlet system on mine with a CAI. i prefer my rumble to his roar. also his was throwing codes until he got the non fowler kit.

check out autoanything.com stylintrucks.com carid.com and ebay.

Best advice is find what YOU think looks good and is in your price range. First thing I do to any vehicle I buy is exhaust.

Uh, define badass and go from there.

The most power adding bang you'll get for your bucks is an SCT tuner bought from dodgeforum.com user hemifever. There are countless threads already here about that so I won't waste time enumerating the many ways in which it's awesome.

The most appearance bang you'll get will be by parking a wicked hot babe in the passenger seat. The problem, of course, is that they're insanely expensive and why Robert Palmer wrote Simply Irresistable: She's so fine there's no tellin' where the money went...

+1 on the exhaust. It took me almost a week and a half lol. I plan on a leveling kit (around $50) and wheels and tires later on. Wheels are relatively cheap. Tires are what will kill you

Well what i did was go to my local speed shop and talk to the guy about leveling ideas. On a 99 dodge like mine and yours they can fit 35s stock (With a little rubing and then you get s**t gas milage) Myself haveing no money put a sony explode head unit in for $150, Alpine type S sub and box and wires for $150, Skyjacker leveling kit with shocks for $350, moto metal rims (in crome whitch i hate but i am getting them powder coated) for 500 for 5 rims, and saved up and bought Nitto Terra Graplers for $900

i have very little knowledge of these trucks so far, but from past experiences with other vehicles, badass and cheap don't go together

A couple of k&n stickers on the rear window will net a few rear horsepower and make it, "badass."
