I could not justify spending that much jack on a truck that would get stuck when it goes off roading. I am sure it looks nice, but it would not look nice spinning in the mud.

Yeah its allot of money for less ability but most of the things that kill our 2wds is going over rocks if its straight mud we do alright but when your coming out of holes is where we need speed and the power to turn the wheels.

I personally plan on going with 4.56's when I get some 35's(hopefully before summers end).

And if I had a 4x4 it would be much higher than my truck sits now, and would have alot more dents and scratches

To the OP what backspacing are the rims you gonna run the 35's on, anything less than 4" will cause more wear, but with any vehicle when you go to bigger tires you will always lose some service life out of balljoints, bearing and bushings

I agree. Even if you ignore the off roading a bit, just think of it in the snow/ice.

A friend of mine has a 2wd truck that's just as nasty if not better then a 4x4 hasn't got stuck yet and he has had mud up half way to the door. I dunno what he has done I know lots of power big gears and huge wide tires
