For 2 years now ive had a rattlign noise coming from under the hood. you can really hear it when idling. sounds like some loose sheet metal or something similar. its a 06 1500 with a v6. just put a flowmaster 40 series on it. have changed the cat, and full tune up including pcv, air grabber, etc.


any ideas what this rattling noise could be? ive spent many hours searching myself, but to no avail.

i WILL investigate any idea you throw my way.

you might have one or more lifters that are failing which would cause loose rocker arms. check those out.

 

well its definately not the lifters. it appears to be something external to the engine
