Default Trying to change O2 sensor...

Trying to change my Pre-Cat O2....The damn connector is way up ontop of my tranny and I cant see the bloddy thing at all...it has a tiny bit of slack, but not enough to pull it clearly into my view...

If I knew how the connector un-clipped I could probably do it by feel...

is there a button/latch type deal you gotta press down to make it separate? or is it just a straight out pull?

Any help would be appreciated.

what i did was shove my head up in there and see how the connector was attached to something with a plastic stud/clip thing. i broke or cut the stud that held the clip, so the harness would drop down.

once down, i could see/release the latch of the connector. when i put it back together, i just used a wire tie to hold the harness back up where it originally was.

don't break the connector itself, only the little stud that holds it to the frame, or body, or cross member, or whatever its attached to.

edit - is the standard clip connector, where you have to use superhuman strength to squeeze a tab and four hands to pull the mother****** apart.

i don't think there's a sliding red lock. just a squeeze tab hooked on a catch.
by the way, this thread is old.
