Default Tires!

Will 305-70-16 tires fit on my 99 4x4 without rubbing to much? It had some 285-75-16s on it when I bought it with no problems, but the 305-70-16s are a little wider than the 285s. The 285s are 32.8/11.2/16 and the 305s are 32.8/12/16. Just asking cause I found a set of BFG mud terrains on craigslist that look like they have good tread left for $150 for the set. Thanks for input..

Thanks for the replies... I dont want them to rub at full lock so I guess I will stay away from that size .. I will go back with the 285s when I get some more..

you could always turn your bolts out a couple threads to stop it from turning so far (i forget the proper name of the bolt at this moment) the bolts are on your steering knuckes (I think) they have a jam nut on them, its been awhile since I messed around with that so I can't remember the exact location, but if you turn your wheel hard to one side, look at your lower ball joint, you should see a bolt sticking out that should be hitting your axle housing ( or vise versa) you can turn these bolts out slightly (do them both equal amounts) and they will limit how far your wheels would turn and prevent the rubbing.........NOW keep in mind that they will also limit your turning radius....
