Default Stacks on a 1500

I have a 2001 ram 1500 4X4 and I put dual exhaust on it when I go it in 01. now I want a new exhaust and I was thinking stacks, but I need some opinions, 1 stack or 2 stacks? or is there another exhaust thats louder than the normal dual flomaster? also how much would the cost of the stack(s) be if I had someone else install them?

Stacks on a gasser will get you egged at night in south Georgia best case. Worst is them diesel owning good 'ole boys will write some not so flattering remarks on your truck in paint and probably do a little damage with a garbage can too.

I remember this boy who put 26" spinners on his lifted Ford, they're still lookin' for that truck in the swamps...

hey man, i was thinkin about the same thing. i know its only right if you got that cummins- but i was thinkin about running the exaust into the bed and having it split with a "t" pipe that ran into glass packs on each side. the glass packs would then lead into some 8" stacks. i know its pointless on a gas truck. but i like the looks of it, and if it was done right, it would sound good too.

Honestly, stacks on a diesel aren't that good looking, unless it's an 18 wheeler.

im a captain in the US Marines, not to worried about what people think of my truck. most of my money goes in my 91 wrangler. besides I got more security in my yard, vehicles and house that the white house. anyone on my turf messin with my stuff's in for a bad day. just figure i would mess around with this 1500 and make it a mudder. i got a 08 F250 king ranch... but thats stayin how it is that my baby. just wonderin how much the stacks and labor would cost for someone else to do it sense i am time limited. ( Im not to worried bout good ole boys sense I am one, living on a couple hundred acres in alabama with 3 other marines) but thanks for the heads up

First off, thanks for serving. Second, why bother asking then?

If you are doing it for muddin' I'd be thinking more about snorkeling the intake than I would stacking the exhaust. I've built up a couple of Jeeps back in the day and snorkeled them both, never bothered with raising the exhaust...
