Question Getting new tires...245 or 265?

Hello all, I have a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, I have the Firestone Destination MT 265/75/16 for about 5 years, I decided to get the Destination LE. I do not need MT's, should I go with the 245's or the 265's. The 245 will save me only $10 a tire but is it worth the 1" wider and 1" taller (i think) for the 265's ? Anyone have pics of 245's or 265' on their truck?

Thanks

265s.
A little extra girth is a good thing.

265's forsure the 245's will look tiny and the 265's will give a softer ride and have a tad bit more traction

I have Firestone destination a/t's and there 255. I like them, they don't look small and not to big.

Thanks, I did get the 265's today. WOW, I never had all season tires on my truck before. Very soft ride, I love it.
Now I cant wait to get this loud muffler and rattling cat replaced, its going to be done on the 5th.

The increase in traction with a wider tire is questionable. In most cases (except for sand) you will have better traction with a skinnier tire, which is why the army uses them. You will also have better gas mileage and steering. On the downside, you will have a rougher ride and less load capacity (with the same ply rating)
