Default How to end the ANNOYINGNESS!?

So as all of u guys should know, when you open your door and the key is in the ignition, there is a very loud and annoying alarm thing that goes off(idk how else to describe it).

I've heard that in fords, there is a way to get that alarm to stop by doing a combination of random things(a certain code) that will eliminate the noise from happening again.

Is there any such thing that you can do on our trucks?

Thanks, Tweav

Easy cure. Don't leave the key in the ignition!

Pull the key out a little or wait 15 minutes. Our trucks have something called party mode where after 15 minutes with the door open the dome light cuts off and I think the chime stops.

I think under the cover for the steering column, connected to the key switch/cylinder, is two little wires, that I unplugged and it killed the sound, yet the alarm if your lights are left on still works. I have no idea if it applies to all years, but it worked in my '01...

I just pulled the buzzer module out. If you remove the interior fuse cover, you can see it. It is like 1" wide and 2 to 3" long.
