Question hard cold start and loss of power after hot?

97 4x4 but a 96 ecm and 360

Okay first problem, after my truck sits and gets cold its like I'm loosing fuel pressue 2 the fuel rail it cranks and cranks till it starts but when it starts if runs rough for a min then back to normal... second problem, on a short drive its fine but if I go a long distens or pull a trailer and get the motor hot "within range of operating temp" it acts like I have a clogged cat loss of power and starts pooping if I slow down to a stop I can only pull out slow after a little longer it just wont pull out at all it starts to miss and pop then it seems like it starts loosing cyclinders one by one till it idels on what seems 2 be one or two cyclinders? any thoughts ??? Please help this one is really throwing me

Have you checked the fuel pressure with a gauge? Have you had the cat checked? Your plenum might be blown and it's screwing up the o2 sensor. Read this for more info https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...um-thread.html

have not checked fuel pressur yet "Really not to worried about the hard start" and yes I have checked the cat "pulled exhaust off both manifolds after it started acting up while motor was still hot" didnt help... I read the plenum thred and some of the symptums line up but not all ... I can drive the truck 15 20 miles and it'll be fine then it starts acting up untill I let it cool down then it'll run like normal ... thinking about taking it somwhere to have them diagnose it and I'll just fix the problem myself

Replace the crank sensor then. It's a PITA,so don't get a cheap POS from autozone. Ge one from the dealer, or at the very least get a Standard Motor Products replacement.

Yep, pressure should hold for at least a few hours after shutdown. And while running , should be close to 45.

start it up and let pressure build, shut it off and quickly clamp the rubber supply line and see if pressure holds.
