Default sport vs. sport package?

Just bought my first Ram yesterday. Its a 2001 1500 4x4 quad cab 5.9l with the sport package. Can someone tell me what is the difference between the sport package and the sport model? Or does the sport package make it a Ram sport? Trying to buy new bumpers. Thanks!

sport = sport package = ram sport.
all the same thing.

its a trim package with painted bumpers, slightly different headlights (quads in later years), decals. that's all.

dhvaughan is correct.

From 1994-1998, the Sport model just meant several body pieces were painted to match the color of the truck, rather than black or chrome. From 1999-2001, the Sport models actually had different front bumpers, headlights, and grille (not just different paint).

Since your a 2001 all those little notes that say does not fit sport, they apply to you, so listen to them(well most of them are correct).

If you think it will work even though you have a sport model put it on here and we will let you know.
