turn signal issue
i have lost all power to my turn signals. when you turn a signal on, nothing happens, not even the clicking noise. my 4 ways work and none of my fuses are blown. its a 98 dodge ram 1500 truck. anyone know whats wrong? thanks!
Headlight or multifunction switch might be bad. However, remove the covers off the steering column, and inspect the wires and connectors/plugs on the back of each of those two switches for damage.
^ +1 where the BIG wad of wires flexes over the tilt steering is prone to breaking a wire.
if no break found, test the multifunction switch per the 01 service manual or the haynes manual. if broken, its available at parts stores for the surpisingly reasonable price of about 50 bucks.

IIRC, you might have to pull the bezel off. Otherwise yes, it's just the plastic around the column. You'll need a torx for some of the screws. Look underneath, they screw in from the bottom.
i put a new turn signal lever box in and it did not fix the problem. i need to see a picture of what it looks like where the box mounts to the steering column. anyone know where i can find these pics?
Download this manual and/or get a Haynes. BTW, check the wires in the back if you have the factory tow package.
