Default Wire tie + steering shaft

I know I read this somewhere, but I can't seem to find it again.

It was an article about how to repair the intermediate shaft with a wire tie? I don't want to spend $200+ on a new shaft when I can use a $.05 tie.
Anyone remember where this article was?

You could fix a ruptured brake line with duct tape, but would you want to? That's a safety issue, please don't skimp.

OK I found it after looking for something completely different.

It's not that the shaft is broken, it just clunks. If I thought is was going to brake I would definitely buy a new one.

Thanks

Oh ok. I was picturing a rag joint with the rag missing and a zip-tie holding everything together. Not sure exactly what this slip joint fix would look like but it doesn't sound dangerous.

i dont know exactly what its fore but i dont think i would use i zip tie. you might be better off with a pipe clamp or something like that thats stronger then a zip tie
