so this morning i went out to my truck after it has sat for 2 days and when i went to pull out of my space, it hesitated, this has been an ongoing problem im not sure if its a serious problem or something stupid, if anyone has any ideas let me know.

 

does it feel like it is slipping ? The a518 has a bad convertor drain back problem mine does the same thing. tomorrow when you get in first thing start it put it in nuetral for about 20 seconds while its idleing take off it will be fine. Put a new manual lever in it SNX22771-09 It is a sonnax peice I sell them all the time even better yet put the trAnsgo tfod-jr shift kit in it it comes with that peice I sell these all the time I am in the trans parts industry.

 

so its a common problem then, and it kinda feels like its slipping but i know the trans is almost new, i have only put 30k on it, so i dont think the trans would be going bad, but yeah im going to look into those two parts,, and what is that sonnax lever your talking about?

 

Yes very common.It is called a manual valve also check the cooler check valve if you can put a after market cooler on it get rid of the check valve. i would also put a 4 spool switch valve while your in there.
Letting it idle in nuetral charges the conv. I know if i dont do it everymorning the truck feels real sluggish

 

I have a 1997 ram 2500 5.9 gas 46 re the tranny shuttles back and forth from 2nd to 3rd.It will shift into 3rd and all of a sudden it shifts back to 2nd.I put superior shift
kit in and right now i'm in the process of putting in sonnax intermediate servo,sonnax
3-4 accumulator and low reverse accumulator.Got any ideas why it shuttles from 2nd to 3rd?
