Default need some help

i need some help, me and my buddy are going to lift my truck this weekend. we have been putting it off because of the weather and it looks nice this weekend. I drive my truck all the time and i cant tell a think but my dad drove it the other day and he said the front end feels really loose. now he wants me to get it fixed before i put my lift on. ( why ME!) [sm=headbang.gif][sm=helpout.gif] he said it feels like its going to fall off but i dont feel anything different. Do you think there might be something wrong or is he just trying to get me to not put my lift on. ( He thinks it stupid, He doesnt understand why I want to. he's a musle car guy.)

easy, put a jack under L/s lower control arm and lift the truck, put a crowbar under the tire and lift up, have your dad or you look at the ball joints for any movement, if the is any from top or bottom you have a bad ball joint. while the truck is still in the air with the jack under the control arm move the tire from side to side and up and down. side to side will show you steering linkage probs and inner or outer tie rods, i think there is a spec on some of the steering linkages. up and down will tell you wheel bearings are bad or not. do procedure on other side.
o yeah lube your front end first before doing procedure, if you don't it could make you spend money for a part that wasen't bad.

hope this helps on the home front

I was also going to say it looked like there was oil leaking out by the wheel bearings
