Hey guys,

did a search and didn't see much about this issue for the older trucks. i have a cracked console cover. i bought an inexpensive seat cover set which i otherwise like, but it didn't include a part for the top of the console.

Does anyone have a good tip on repairing or replacing on the super cheap?

You could get another seat cover and use it to cover the lid. If you took your time and did it right it could look really good. You could also try a junk yard

 

Someone here did recover and re-pad his once. I asked for more details and, as usual, *POOF* he never responded. One thing that irks me is people who post a question about a topic and then come back with, "Oh, I figured out how to do it" and don't provide any more details or pictures.

 

Ok, I'll figure it out and if it's clever enough, I'll let you know.

 

Did mine in a previous SUV when I did my headliner, used the same fabric for the headliner and the center console, it was pretty hard wearing, had that cover on for about 2 years and it never came off or ripped.
