new problem

Default new problem

I have leak some where around the Fuel tank but cant find it. is there anything i can put in the tank to find the leak.

The gasket for the fuel pump mounting ring goes bad sometimes. And also the hoses from the fill neck crack or the fill neck itself rusts. Your going to have to look up top as far as the gasket goes. You sure it gasoline and not brake fluid?

First thing I would do is make sure its not brake fluid, the lines above the tank have a tendencey to rust out and then blow out, check for this before driving the truck anymore, if your sure its fuel you got the ring where the fuel pump is mounted and the filler lines

Been kinda busy, But i know it is a fuel leak as i lose about 1-2 Gal overnight especially when fuel level is lower. Thanks for the pointers.

If it leaks when parked , then I'd say you have a hole in the tank. Look around the straps, one may have worn through the plastic tank.
