youre right it wont, but either i can pull that drive shaft (probably not what ill do) or take mine to a shop an get a custom yoke put on. i have been pm'ing meanwhitemopar who did this and he told me it would cost about 60 bucks.

It'll be more than 60 most likely. But more important, the springs won't work either without modification/welding.

The front and rear leaf spring mounts on the frame are different.

but all that needs to be put on are the hangers or something right?? i thought ive read about this being possible on here somewhere.

Sorry, but a 2500 axle doesn't just simply bolt on to a 1500. The perches and at least the front leaf spring mounts are welded to the frame. So there is more fab work than you think. IMHO, for the sake of wanting to install 8 lug wheels on a 2wd 1500, is just plain not worth it. Get the adapters, or sell those wheels and buy a nice set of 5 lugs.
