Default Front Differential

New owner here. First, how do I know, now that the front end is completely torn down, if I have a LSDiff on my 99 SLT Laramie? It will determine what type of oil goes in the front gear box, right?

Truck is up on stands in the front, I have the axles out...A little oil has weeped out of the passenger side axle tube. I will need to check and refill. How much, what type?

Thanks

none of these trucks came with a front lsd from the factory.
lsd's will have some clutches and springs as opposed to an open carrier with side gears and spiders all visible.

i copied this picture of an open dana 44 from pavementsucks.
