i had one in mine (never used it) until one day I was standing in garage and the truck started without me having pushed any buttons, so I spent the whole next day ripping it out and tracing wires, I think I can brave the elements to go and start my truck, sometimes I think we have all turned soft, with all the convienences we have, where a simple walk outside seems so terrible....my opinion...then again im a diehard snowmobiler too so I have ice in my blood

 

I got 1 in my 01 .I lived in rhode island and the winter months were brutal and i didn`t feel like going out there to clean it and had the heat on and after about 10 ,imutes it was nice and toasty inside.And in the summer months with the a/c cranked it was pretty cool.When my truck is idiling the directional markers are lit until i turn the ignition key on and they shut off.I got the factory keyless entry for my truck as well and i too have had problems when if there in my pocket then the panic button gets tripped accidently.Nothing worse then looking like a dummy trying to turn off the alarm.Will say this though i been very happy noone has tried to rip my truck off,i hate to be the 1 who does if i ever find that person who did.
