transmission temp prob.... need help

Default transmission temp prob.... need help

I have a 2001 RAM 1500 I guess the transmission isn't reading the right temp its reading -8 and not the 130 deg that it needs to let the 4th gear/o/d kick in can anybody plz help oh and already change out the o/d solenoid and transdusers... Anybody know what this could be????

If it's reading -8, something isn't right. Its not winter yet, so nothing on the truck should be anywhere near eight degrees below zero.

That temp gauge or sensor may be defective.

You need to inspect the wire harness inside and outside the tranny. Try this and see if there are any stored codes. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...code-list.html

IIRC I read somewhere that the govenor pressure sensor also reports the trans temp .. Dont hold me to it but thats something that comes to my mind

I think it's in the switch/transducer. Actually I don't think, I pretty much know. Had same problem with my tranny swap.
