Yes the dye is VERY expensive, but different base oil formulations/additives can also affect color/odor as well, but 95% of the time, will not stop the oils/atf from doing it's job.

With ATF's we can usually tell when it is water conatiminated as it will become very, very pink and have a strong "raw egg" type odor. If any of you thought that gear oils have an odor, you should smell some water contaminated ATF.

Just about everyone has trouble checking the fluid level. It's a PITA if you are not use to doing it all the time.

She must know I'm talking about her, she rode fine to and from town later today. But still getting a fluid and filter swap.
