Default Adding 20" wheels bad MPG?

I have an '01 Dodge Ram 3.9L V6. I have the stock 16" wheels with 265/75R16 tires, i'm getting about 16mpg if drive it like an "old man". I found some 20" stock 2010 dodge wheels with the stock tires and really think it would make my dodge look really nice. I'm worried i'm going to get even worst gas mileage ,so any insight would be nice.

thanks guys,

Jesse D.

goin to the 20 whouldnt affect your milage, the rubber in your tires weighs more than the almuinum in your rims, so if you stayed with the same overall size tire then youd actually decrease the rolling mass of each tire....still wouldnt be noticable in terms of mpgs though

Depends on the weight difference and the overall tire size. Bigger and heavier generally decrease fuel mileage as well as performance.

With less sidewall height, your ride may become harsher. It may start to ride more like a lumber wagon than it does now.

Just something to consider.
