Default Truck is sputtering during acceleration and at slow speeds

I have a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 318. It is sputtering and popping when I accelerated. When I try to drive under 50mph it revs erratically when I have my foot on the gas. It is extremely annoying. The check engine light came on and it showed to codes P0171 and P0172. I thought it might be the throttle positioning sensor, but I'm not sure if there is a code for that. Not sure what it is, but I really would like to know. Thanks for any help.
