Default Power steering gear installation issue!

So our PS gear went out on us on a trip. Due to my fathers improper judgement he decided to drive it home with no PS. It was drivable, but not easy at all. We put fluid in it and it just immediately blew it out when you attempted to turn the wheel. So we bought a gear from a local Dodge guy.

Our problem: (We have the gear mounted, steering collar connected)

Which line goes where. Does the line from the pump connect into the port closest to the bag or the one closest to the front?

Thanks in advance!

The line with the nut on the back of the pump, goes to the port closest to the fan or front. Thats on a 2000 2500 anyway.
