ckp and cmp low voltage help
when i originally built my motor it threw the ckp and cmp code. this was due to the fact that i didnt fully tighten the distributor hold down bolt. after tightening this i decided to change the crank sensor anyways and bought one from my local napa knowing about their problems with the sensors. today i replaced the crank sensor and it still skips around 2500 rpm's. could it do this being out of time? I would think that it would throw a miss fire code before this code and i recently tightened the distributor hold down bolt but didnt check the timing. could this cause the skipping around 2500 rpm's? has anyone else had this problem?
