Default u joint/yoke nightmare

ok i was planning on replacing u joints in my drive shaft because of harmonic vibrations (1999 ram 3500 4x4) and when i went to take the 4 8mm bolts out of the yoke the first one broke and the others rounded. so my question is now that there is a broken bolt in the yoke should i just go ahead and replace the yoke? as in cut the other 4 bolt heads off and put a new yoke and bolts in it. i have to drive to work in the a.m. so i hope one bolt being broken will not become catastrophic in my 2 mile journey to work. please lemme know what you think about how to go about this also where to buy the cheapest yoke at. its a dana 80 rear end if it helps. thanks

Ok so you have 8mm bolts holding your rear drive shaft in? Or are you rockin 4x4 and we're talking about the front driveline? If your talking about the rear driveline, park it until you fix it. If your talking about your front drive shaft, as long as your not it 4wd theres no terrible load on it, your probably safe to make it to work 2 miles away as long as its not at highway speeds. I'd get some gnarly vice grips on those ones with heads still and turn em out. As for the broken one, you should be able to get vice grips on it if enough is sticking out once you remove the drive shaft. If not, just cut it flush, drill it small down the center and use an easy out.

Park it till you get it fixed, If that shaft lets loose on the trip you will be replaceing more than a yoke. As for the yoke use heat to help get the old bolt/bolts out, 8 mm is small for an easyout but it's worth a try.
