Default 96 Ram 1500 2wd lift kit ????

I just recieved a 96 Ram 1500 extra cab 2wd. I am looking into lift kits and think I want a 3.5" lift. I live in las vegas NV so lets face facts it will never see any off road. Does any one know if the 17" 2000-2001 "Off road" factory wheels will fit this truck?

no one the off road wheels,, unless i grid down ur hud on the rotors

spindle lifts are nice to get the 3.5 lift ur looking for,,, sum spindles u have to run a larger rim and more back spacing

there are also spring spacers, which when u get around 3ins lift u need new upper c-arms

the off raod 17s should fit, I have 15s on my truck without problem. probably the lifted spindles is the best way, that route you don't need longer coils, shocs or upper control arms

the reason the off will not just bolt on is,,, and i tryed i bought a set,, the prob is that the hub/wheel bearing is to big to have to remove the cap that helps them you still the a 1in before the rim hits the back plate/hub,,

so u could use a spacer,,, i dont feel safe

gride down the hub so it has no tamper and the rim can side all the way .... still didnt think is was safe

sold the wheels

now if ur truck was like 99 or newer with seal bearings it would work
