Default Vents switch

today i had the vents on in my 2001 1500 after about 5 min it would switch from face to defrost on its own, HELP

It is because you have a blown plenum.

yeah, forgot about that. It is much cheaper and faster. But if you have a blown plenum, it will still do that.

My truck does the same thing, except it only does it when I get on the gas hard it blows just the defrost but if I take my foot off the gas like normal it goes back. Im interested because I dont have the symptoms of a blown plenum?
