Default High Beam Issues

01 2500 Here's the problem, with the low beams on everything is fine when I turn on the fog lamps the high beam indicator on the dash lights up but is dim; if I turn on the high beams the indicator light lights up bright but the fog lamps go out (as they should) and there are no high beams. Anybody have this problem? I think electrical prob. are the worst.

Thanks in Advance
Dave

Remove the headlight switch and unplug the connector. See if there is any thing melted.

Good news sort of, I did fail to mention I have plow on this truck; it's a meyer with the old style toggle for the plow lights (which are not on the truck....yet). I unplugged the meyer harness adapters and plugged the truck plugs directly into the bulbs and everthing works fine so I think I need to look at the toggle switch.

Thanks for the quick reply Zman

Well, I don't know where you live but you got some time before plowing comes I hope. At least you narrowed it down. Screw it for now, go have a beer. Like I always say " why do today what can be put off till tomorrow" LOL
