rear left wheel noise
Hi All,
I picked up a 2000 Ram 2500. When I turn sharply to the left I hear a heavy metal on metal noise on the rear left side. The right side doesn't do this. Neither side make any noise when turning right. I'm thinking it is the rear left brake drum because the truck has been sitting and just before the noise I was using the brakes heavily on a very steep deline. When i got it I checked the right side and other than a rust lip it was fine. I'm going to tear down the left rear brake drum tomorrow to inspect it. My questions are:
Does this sound like a reasonable deduction?
Is there a common defect that I need to check for that may cause this noise?
Thanks,

Follow this thread, opposite side, but may be the same problem.
