getting the headliner board out
I did a search but couldn't find anything.
Anybody ever take the headliner out of a '96 extended cab? I don't have doors in the extended cab, so I wonder if I can get the headliner board out through the door. The opening looks kind of small, but I guess they got it in there at the factory. I wonder if I have to take the seats out to get the headliner out?
The reason I'm asking is I want to re-cover it.

I would tink it would be flexible enough to get through the door...but I am just guessing. Surely someone here has removed theirs and will post. I also bet chad is correct on through the windshield opening. I have seen the interior be installed in this fashion at a Nissan plant in Smyrna Ga years ago on several vehicles.
I also have a 96 extended cab and it came out pretty easy. Open both doors up and lean the front seats back, then pull it at an angle threw the passenger side door, had to bend it just a little bit but it didnt hurt it or make any marks in it. Once you have it out the cloth that is on there should just peel right off. I wrapped my headliner in Mossy Oak camo it turned out pretty good. Go for it and good luck!
