dude, you have to remember that when these big truck lose a tire. is normally on the rear when you see it happen and it doesnt look like it harms the truck so bad that you would lose control because its dual wheeled. if you have ever seen one on the front go out. theres only one thing to do. Get the hell away from it fast!!!!. on a light truck it would be even worse. I would rather be in a 18' boat in 9 foot waves the have retreads on my truck. ( this is coming from an experienced truck driver.)

Your right on that one. I've been a milk man for the past 5 years and was a pepsi man for 8 years prior, driving big trucks(semi and straight truck) everyday. I have blown a bunch of rears, one time I thought the engine fell out, it grenaded going 75 and actually hit underneath the front of my truck somehow. I have blown 20-30 rear tires but only one front. When the front went, it started to pull a little and BAM! Tire shredded and my truck was bouncing so bad that everything on the dash, seat, little cubby on the dash was on the floor by the time I slowed from 75. It was extremely hard to control and I am glad I was in the right hand lane (right tire blew) because it pulled HARD to the right, had I been passing someone I would have taken them out for sure. Anyway if that were to happen in a pickup I would bet that you would seriously rolling your truck...
