I have a 99 DOdge Ran 1500. 5.2 Auto trans. 2 WD. It does have the wild vent issue. I just need to go replace the check valve. But it reccently started doing something new. The AC blows perfectly. Nice and cold for about 5 minutes or so. Then it just gets warm. You have to turn the AC off for about 2 to 3 minutes before it will work correctly again. It seems to be getting more frequent lately. Maybe 4 times on the drive home (45 miles). Is this possibly related to the check valve situation?

The cruise still works fine. And no obvious vaccum leaks anywhere.

 

Fix the vacuum leak first. Then lets diagnose any other probs.

 

Ya sometimes 2 things are related for who knows what reason lol
