give the guy a friggin break. How many people have SCT in their SIGNATURES!!! he will get a hit on 99.9% of the threads on here.

He just wants some advice from us gurus. Sometimes i think that 90% of you guys have 95% of your posts in your avatar as "go search it you lazy bastage" type posts.

HERE IS SOME INFO:
1. It replaces the factory tune in your Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Have you ever heard of getting a "chip" for your truck? Well, a tuner writes your CURRENT chip without having to go buy another chip.
2. The SCT gets rid of the death flash bcause it completely replaces your existing tune (Tune is also called a "flash")
3. You can save your stock tune and bring your truck back to stock. Which you will never do.
4. In order to have a successful tune you must check to see if your plenum is blown (the sticky at the top of this forum page labeled "read this"). if blown, you MUST replace. But you SHOULD replace it iff you plan on getting a SCT.
5. You must get a 180* thermostat. Hemifever tunes for 180*.

www.hemifevertuning.com or PM hemifever on this forum. He will send you 3 "canned" tunes for 3 octanes of your choosing (ussually 89, 91, 93 octane. he can do 92 if that is all that is available to you).

You only need custom tunes (Extra $100) if you have done this:
1. Wideband AFR gauge (Needed for custom tune, but custom tune not needed for it)
2. Cam and/or head swap
3. Aftermarket fuel injectors (see #1)

seriously, how many of your 11K posts have been telling people to do a search? I have seen at least 100 from you in the past month.

How many DIYs have you done?

How much "technical info" has been something other than "Unplug your upstream O2 sensor, see what happens" ?

You have to realize that many people new to this forum are coming here for information and you have to be patient before you attack their first post.

geez. You call them lazy and you can't even type a couple sentences to point them in the right direction so their thread can die and we can go back to answering questions for the myriad of "Help: Tranny" or "Truck won't run HELP" posts. All of which you will answer "Unplug your upstream O2 sensor, see what happens." ;P

I provide more.... Oh never mind. Don't forget "check the plenum" . I guess you need to use the ignore button. Have a good day sir.
