hi i have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 4x4 automatic-with overdrive, gas, with a 5.9L v8, I need the entire main engine wiring harness for it, I cant find 1 anywhere. the dealership discontinued supplying that part(wanted over 1200 for it anyway, i cant afford that), no autoparts can get it and all salvage yards within 3000 miles dont have my truck, ill order one from somewhere if i can find 1, its the main harness under the hood that connects to everything from the fuse box to computer. I can't believe how difficult it is to find 1 of these,

look on craigslist around wear you live for a parts truck. Also search the internet. ill look after i post this comment.

 

ok does anyone know if there is a plug off a 98, 2000, or 201 that will interchange with this one and be ok?

 

dont feel bad OP i had a brake line blow on the exaust and set my engine harness on fire burnt the sencer connectors on the TB 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.9L Sport 4x4 automatic and the dodge makes it still $2500 plus tax. so $1200 is cheap lol my harness has to come from a 1999-2001 sport 5.9 4x4. cant find one anywhere else.

problem solved was able to come across a 98 4x4 that had just the right plug (even tho when i called they said they didn't have any 4x4s) never trust the guy on the phone! thanks to you all for your help!

Look up based on your zip, plug in your make model YEAR and engine. Look at what comes up to match your drive (4x4 or 2x4) and tranny type. They run 200-250 bucks. You want the ENGINE wiring harness.
