Default 9.25 rear axle housings

Hey guys my 02 1500 had the trac lock come apart and trash the housing. I can not find a 02 and up housing to save my life. Does any ones know the difference in the 01 and older axles. When buying gears/set up kit There is a break at 01 and up and 2000 and down.

Can I used the older housing? I have no problem moving perches or other fab work just need to make sure I can bolt my brakes to it

I am re gearing it to 4.56 (I already have them and the set up kit for the 02 but I can exchange them if needed)

Thanks in advance

I may be wrong but didn't Chrysler start using a different brand rear in 02? I know the 2500 and 3500's got AAM axles.Anything can be done though.

02 1500 is still 9.25

I ended up getting a gm 14 bolt and ill swap my front 5 lug outers out to 8 lug and be good to go since my 02 is already solid axle swapped with a Ford Dana 44.

Brand loyalty .........what is that lol
