Default powertrax no-slip vs treutrac

I'm considering a new differential. My truck sees 90% pavement and 10% offroad so I need something that is pavement friendly. My wife also drives the truck and she wouldn't know what to do if the rear end broke loose on her in a turn. With that being said which diff would be best for my situation the powertrax no-slip or the detroit truetrac? I have searched and didn't find a comparison between these two.

I plan on doing more wheeling in the future as well as a lift kit and get some bigger wheels/tires. Nothing crazy maybe couple inch lift and 33,35 or 37 inch tires

Completely different animals, Locker vs LS.

I personally do not like the way the No-Slip operates compared to other lockers, I took mine apart and removed the syncrho rings so it now operates like a Lock-Right/Aussie/Detroit and it's much nicer. I personally love lockers and have had them in my DDs since 2007.

Since you said wife, get the True-Trac, it really won't do much for you off-road IMO, but it'll keep the wife-unit happy.

So the powertrax doesn't unlock like they say it does when taking turns?

My dad's truck has a g80 in it and I have never noticed it making a difference. Isn't a g80 an automatic locker like the powertrax?

Truetracs are awesome. You can't even tell they're in the axles until you try to go somewhere you couldn't with open differentials and make it. Every now and then I'll hear my inside tire skip just a little if there's dirt on the road when I turn from a stop.
I've read where you have to play with the brakes a little if you get one wheel off the ground since there needs to be a little resistance on the wheel that is slipping for the power transfer to happen. I tried putting one wheel up on a hill in my front yard and spun a little then stomped the gas and hopped right on top of it. I couldn't do that with open differentials.

It does unlock, I just don't the way it locks back up. It's synchro system forces both tires to be at equal speed to lock, so if you get on the gas in a corner, it will spin the inside tire until it catches up with the outside tire before it will lock, I find this annoying, a regular locker locks when you put your foot down, regardless of wheel speed difference, which is what I want.

G80 is a completely different animal, it's an open diff that will only lock with a 100 RPM difference between wheels. This is why it's known as the grenade lock.
