OEM v8 flywheel is good for up to a 12" clutch, though they came stock with an 11 incher. If you can find clutch and disc sold seperately, you could buy a 12" diesel clutch, and seperately the pressure plate you want, for a 360 application. I would call Centerforce, or whoever you plan to buy from, and ask if the clutch disc and Pressure plate will match up in terms of the actual gripping surface area. Also make sure the larger diameter throwout bearing will contact the pressure plate correctly, and that everything clears. I dont think this will be an issue though. Just make sure it's a good throwout bearing, mines making noise after 3000 miles.

If you can't make something like that work, go to clutch and driveshaft in Shreveport, not only did they machine my flywheel for free because i was in uniform, but they are smart. If it is possible to drill a 360 flywheel for a diesel/v10 plate, they will be able to do it.

As long as you use a 360 flywheel on your 360, things will balance.

If it all works this sounds like a sweet mod. Now I want a bigger clutch too.

I will hope that perseverance works out for you BackwoodsRam.

If/when I get to this juncture, then I think I'm personally gonna go the following route. They are local for me too.

http://www.high-impact.net/nv4500.htm

I did find a NV4500 at a yard nearby. Was asking a little over $1000, but I didn't ask the condition. All sitting there by its lonesome. I was itchin......

No. I haven't got that far yet. You can get an idea of conversion kit prices from nv4500.com site though. Like ~450 ish I believe.
