Default i started on plenum today ugh

so i started on plenum today and i'll have to say i had the intake out in about 1.5-2hours... i had a lot of problems with the fuel injector wiring harness..

and i think i know why a it was easy.. all but one intake bolt was finger loose.... and once i got my intake out and started to pull my belly pan off.. like 5 or 6 bolts were finger lose as well.... i couldn't believe it

but i should have it all back together i modded my intake and kinda ****ed up on modding it but i can't go back so it'll have to work... its sitting in my house now staying warm since its freezeing out side lol

Wow. Haven't heard anyone else with loose bolts. That should make a world of difference in oil consumption reduction and performance increase!

Plug wiring appears to be important. There is TSB in the FAQ/DIY section about the routing. Eliminates crossfires and misfires. I used 8.5 mm wires when I did mine. Runs so smooth it is unreal. taking trip to DFW are tomorrow. First trip over 100 miles since I got it back together. Going to check mileage and highway performance. I also got a tune from hemifever.com.

Hope yours comes out as well as mine did.

i inspected my plug wires and they seem to be in good shape... i just kinda short on funds and i need it been about 2 years since i've done plugs cap and rotor... i did plugs last year cause 4 of them were on the exhuast manifold and got burned....

so what kind of tune did u get from hemifever? it is a custom tune or a canned tune

I got the canned tunes as the kegger and souble roller timing set with tensioner are the only things I have done to truck. If I go farther, I'll get back in touch with Sean and order another tune. It eliminates death flash and I believe torque management. Did so much to truck at that time, can't really isolate what eack part contributed to improvement, but all together it was like night and day. Well worth the money spent.

Bought the truck in July and spent about a month rebuilding transmission. Drove it a couple hundred miles around town and such. Wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. installed kegger, timing set, plugs wires and rotor and have put on about 250 miles since then. I am running the 87 tune. Thought I would drive that for a while and then change to 89, then drive to see if there is any difference. I also put in a 180 tstat.

Here is what my rotor looke dlike:
