i was considering the idea of doing my ball joints on my truck but do i need any specail tools?

i've done the wheel bearings and last year so i'm not concerned about pulling everything off but i just would like to know if i need a special type of tool for the job

Yes you will need a ball joint press and a tie-rod separator.
Links are for example you can rent or buy cheaper.

It's not that hard, like I said you can rent those tools no need to buy them. But for $200 and you don't have to get dirty, up to you.

$200 isn't too bad espeially if it is for all of them. I have a 2 car garage, and have to leave truck about halfway out when working on front end for enough room to work. Wish I had a big shop again......
