I have a 2001 ram 1500 4x4 with a 5.2 manual. I have the np231 t-case now and it is shot. I need to upgrade to atleast the 231hd version due to the increase in tires. I am in the military and wont be around my truck for a while so I need something that would change out fast thats why I was thinking of the 231 I would have no problems switching it out in a couple hours and not drive shaft modifications. The problem is that I can;t find any websites to buy it from like I used to. Anyone have any better ideas for me or know of a place to get a t-case? thanks

Oh yeah: Have them install a Transfer Case Saver in the thing, too. It's the cheapest insurance you're ever gonna get for one of these units.

I wouldn't roll my truck up and let their wrench monkeys work on it (again), but I'd buy parts from them. And if I had a tech question I'd hope that Shep or Dave would be willing to talk to me about it because those two guys are sharp.
