Exclamation truck wont stay running

I have a 97 1500 with the 318 an I went to start my truck this morning to let it warm up when I got in an started it it sounded like it wasn't running like it should so I pressed the gas pedal and held it an when I let off the truck just turns off.... but when the truck turns off the only thing that goes down to zero is the tach an oil pressure and I know it has plenty of oil I check it often and I changed it 3 weeks to a month ago

keep in mind the battery is perfectly fine and charged all the way. "new starter, new battery and new alternator last fall."

an yes it has fuel it has a full tank and suggestions of what it may be??

one of the sensors on the TB. disconnect the battery and then put the terminal back on? it might reset itself. if not then its either one of the sensors or a bad o2 possibly i knwo when my truck did that my engine light came on and it was my o2 sensor

I had about the same thing happen with my truck, I did quite a few things to it but the 2 items that actually took care of the problem were the IAC and ECT, at least I believe it is called the ETC of which is the temp sensor for the PCM to the right of the thermostat housing when viewed from the front, 2 wire sensor. The IAC helped as well too.
As to the exhaust leaks, shouldn't cause that unless of course they are missing O/2 sensors.

Try cleaning the IAC. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-r...n-the-iac.html

Yes thats what it is called and that little $8 part plays a big roll on how these motors run.
