Trace the wires. Other than that, maybe you have a defective pump. It's rare but possible. Check your connections on top of the tank. Make sure they are plugged in all the way.

OK... got it working for now.. havent had a chance to drive it yet but at least it will start and run...

Im almost imbarrassed to say what the problem was... I pull fuel tank again yesterday and the electrical plug wasnt on quite all the way... I pushed and it went oin about another 1/4".

I inadvertently broke the keeper that holds the plug on so I will have to drop the tank again and either ty-rap it on or tie-wire it on..

I really appreciate all the help from everyone..

BTW.. With the new fuel pump... I can not hear it pressureize the system when the key is turned on...
