Default Smelling gas?

Alright, every time I come to a stop anymore and get out of my truck. I get a strong smell of gas. Im suspecting the charcol canister but im unsure of how to check it and see where this smell is coming from, Its extreamly strong smell. And its not from my gas cap, It was replaced not long ago with a locking one and the smell doesnt seem to be coming from there. It smells like its right under my door. advice?

You could check the vent lines from the tank.

If you have a gas leak in the charcoal canister or Evap system it'll set a cel within a day or two. I know sometimes these systems won't set a cel but the Evap system is pretty serious to the federal government. Just my .02

Check the fill tube, they like to rust.
