Happy Thanksgiving - 99 dodge ?
Hey everyone Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there in the DF world.
I found a 99 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 5spd w 105,000 miles for sale and I wanted to know what you think would be a reasonable asking price for it??? Im thinking the owners price might be a bit steep for its condition but i wanted to ask the DF crew to see what you all think. Im going to be taking it for a test drive today and ill let ya know how that goes.
Thanks Allpar7

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay.
Gauges to help you out:
1. NADA/Blue Book -- just for reference
2. Condition -- break it down exterior/interior/engine/drivetrain/etc.
3. Demand for that type of vehicle
4. What work needs to be done to it in the short term
5. What your use will be and preferences related to intended mods down the line.
But, I'll buy that truck for $1

5speed, only 105,000. Sounds nice so far. Make sure you check for leaks at transfer case, steering slop, and of course condition of plenum.
I agree with Wh1t3Nukle, what the buyer is willing to pay. If it is really nice, no rust, and everything else checks out good and any required reapirs are minimal, it may be worth paying a little extra for. Gonna depend on your capacity (funds available).
Good luck, and I hope you get a great deal that you are happy with!
And Happy Thanksgiving back to ya!

depending on condition, anywhere from $1000 to $5000 for a gasser.
2500 makes is worth more than 1500.
5 speeds can be hard to find. some people really want them bad, others don't. so this is just personal preference. if you really want a manual, then you may have to pay more just because there are so few.
rust is killer. presence kills the value. absence makes it worth a lot more.
at $1000 for a good set of heavy tires, condition of tires affects value.
condition of brakes, body, paint, etc.
condition of interior is +/- $1000.
presence/absence of lift, and whether or not you want one.
condition of front end. front end rebuild is $1000 or more.
V8 vs V10. some want a V10. i wouldn't have one.
gas vs diesel. a diesel is likely to cost $10,000.
