Default Steering Wheel Radio Controls w/ Aftermarket Radio

I have the radio controls on the steering wheel and when I bought the truck it had an aftermarket radio. Is there a way to control the aftermarket radio with the factory steering wheel controls. I've looked at the wiring and kind of doubt it, but if anyone knows a way to do it I'd be glad to hear it! Thanks!

I know there is a separate plug in for the controls (atleast thats what I think it is, there is a loose plug jus hangin out behind the radio with two wires goin to it...) I didn't know if there was a way to wire them up or not, I am severely retarded when it comes to wiring (bein color-blind doesn't help either )
EDIT: Is this what I would need? http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...&CategoryID=29 ?? I don't know what the heck an interface is (told ya, I'm retarded with this stuff) Thanks for the input here guys

The SWI-JACK is what I used in my dakota R/T when I put a kenwood in it.I had to take the cover off the colum cut a wire or two( I cant remeber how many its been a while)and splice wires from the SWI-JACK to them and plug it into the back of the radio. Then you program it to work with your steering wheel controls.IMO I dont think its worth it and wouldnt do it again.
But it does work.

You could check crutchfield too. Here is a link, put your truck info in and your aftermarket radio info in. http://www.crutchfield.com/app/car/c...l%3ftp%3d2977&
