Installed overhead console
I installed an overhead console this weekend. My truck did not come with one. I decided to just go with the plain one that doesn't have the readout. I didn't know how to wire all that extra stuff up since mine didn't have any wiring in the roof for it. So, with this one, I just had to wire up the lights. It was a breeze, and I think it looks good and gives me another cubby hole.

what did you have there before? just lights? looks good, I've seen some posts on retrofiting the on-board computer but I dont think anyone has been suscessful in getting it to work.
There was nothing there before. Just headliner. But the mounting holes for overhead consoles are under the headliner, whether you have one or not. I had to cut a hole in the headliner, run my wire (because there was none of that there either), and mount the console.
