Default Finally installed headers

These have been in my garage for awhile, and I decided to throw them on this weekend. Took about 2.5 hours.
They are Edelbrock ceramic coated.
Flanges are 3/8".
Primary tubes are 1 5/8" diameter.
Collector diameter is 2 1/2".
I could definelty tell a difference with them. Not like jaw dropping performance, but it is noticable. My only complaint is that the driver side one has about 3 bolts that are very difficult to reach due to the shape of the header. Very hard to tighten, not enough room for a socket at all.

Did you get a better sound with them? I think headers are going to be my next upgrade. Any tips you could give on this install, or is it pretty straight forward? I heard it's nice to have some good penetrating oil on hand and that those bolts can be a bit of fun.[:@]

I thought that it would make it sound different or louder in the engine compartment, but there is really no noticeable change to the engine noises coming from the engine compatment (both standing in front listening and from in the cab). But the exhaust note coming out of the tail pipe is a little louder and more throaty now. I like it. It sounds a little more aggressive (I have a Flowmaster 50 3" in/out)

The install is pretty straight forward. My bolts were not too rusted, but I live in a very dry climate. I can see how you might need some penetrating oil ahead of time if they are rusted. Getting access to some of the bolts was the tricky part.

Looks like a straight install. Haven't heard of any fitment problems with any E-Brock items. Any improvement in MPG?

To early to tell, plus I didn't have a full tank when I installed it, so it will be a little while longer till I know if MPG's were affected.

I'm thinking about removing the studs and replacing with bolts for a cleaner look. Those studs look kinda crapy sticking out like that all rusted.

Took the camper up to the mountains again this weekend. I think the headers made a noticable difference. I definelty had more power on the mid to upper range then I had before.

I went up the same mountain pass I went up about a month ago. Last time, I could manage about 55 mph no prob (out of overdrive). It would downshift now and then to maintain this speed. If I stepped on it to really accelerate beyond 55-60 mph, it would down shift and the engine would rev hard, but not much actual acceleration was had. This time, same scenario, same stretch of road, but I was able to accelerate up to almost 70 before I let off (wife was reaching for grab handles, so I eased up a bit). I actually drove in the fast (left) lane most of the way up the pass. Outside air temp was cooler, so that probably helped too, but I bet the headers had a lot to do with it.
