'99 Ram 1500 Brake Upgrade
I still haven't done my brakes yet... I'm putting it off til the end of the month, they need a little more love than just calipers & pads. Lol!
I believe u can install 2500LD calipers on your 99. I don't think they made a 7500LD in 99. The pad are supposed to be the same as 1500 pads. I would make sure they fit before u leave the store though.

These are the parts I used on my '98 1500 brake upgrade.
Front Cyl 80mmØ from 2500LD (stock 1500 are 75mmØ) - AC Delco 18FR741 & 18FR742
Rear Cyl 28mmØ from 2500/3500HD (stock 1500 are 24mmØ) - AC Delco 18E112
Discs/Pads & Drums/Shoes are stock 1500.
If you want more braking in the rear, use the GM3500 cyl 30mmØ - NAPA #37337
All these parts are direct bolt up, no mods needed.

Yup, I used the stock 2500 calipers with 1500 pads in front, 1500 pads with 2500 cylinders in rear. No mods needed. With no load in the truck, the rear seems to lock up easier (duh, of course) even before the rear abs kicks in.
If I had a LB and carried heavier loads regularly, I might have been tempted to use the GM3500 cyl.
Do you use the same 1500 rotors as well? How long was the job to switch them over? Is autozones product a decent product?
