Hoping for some help. I have a 1999 ram 1500 5.9 4x4 with issues. Biggest problem is that when it is cold, engine will turn off when tranny shifted into reverse. It runs fine in drive but not reverse. After you drive it a few miles and everything gets warmed up it works fine in both drive and reverse.
Today I had it at my local Dodge dealership to have a new rad installed and pick their brains about my above problems. New rad successfully installed but when I left, my seatbelt light came on and will not go off even with the seatbelt on. This light was never on in the past even with the seatbelt off as I never wear the damn thing anyway. So why woulod it come on now?
Been having various other electrical issues since I bought this truck 6 months ago like the daytime running lights working and then not working.When this on again off again with the running lights was happening, my left hand signal light would flash at twice the speed as the right. Now that the running lights have not worked for a few months, the signal lights are working fine. The multifunction switch has also been acting up lately with the lights going out completely when switching from bright to dim. Need to slightly pull on switch and the lights come back on so I think this simply the multifunction switch. But is it possible that all these problems are all somehow related.
The headlight, running light and seatlight belt light things I can live with but not being able to go in reverse when it is cold out is really pissing me off. HELP!!!!!
